| 摘 要： | 语言在其发展历程中深深地烙印着社会生活的各个侧面,反映和折射着某一社会独特的文化传统。《圣经》是人类文明史上的经典之一,对西方社会产生了深远的影响,对语言尤其是英语注入了充足的血液。习语作为语言的核心和精华,也受《圣经》文化的影响。《圣经》中的人物对英语习语的影响是巨大的。

On Biblical Characters Impact on English Idioms |

| Abstract: | Language has been deeply ingrained with traces of particular society in its development, reflecting unique culture heritage. The Bible is one of the most valuable works in the cultural history of mankind, having an everlasting effect on western society and having poured into sufficient blood to the languages, especially to English. As the core and essence of culture, idioms were affected by the Bible. Biblical characters affect English idioms strongly. |
