| 摘 要： | 不同的语言化传统使中英标题存在差异，如中标题讲究采，英标题比较平易。标题是章的点睛之笔，因此标题的翻译极为重要。新闻写作中“题好一半”的道理同样适用于标题翻译。本从词汇、时态、修辞、标点符号以及语言结构形式五个方面探讨了中英新闻标题的异同，并简略地探讨了英汉标题互译中几种常用的技巧。

| Abstract: | The differences of titles between Chinese and English result from their distinctive linguistic and cultural traditions, a typical case in point being that the Chinese title emphasizes its stylistic elegance and the English title focuses on its conciseness. And the significance of the title to an article is exactly like that of the eyes to a man, which suggests the vital importance of title translating. The philosophy in news writing that a good title means the article half done also lies in title rendering. The essay explores the differences of news titles between Chinese and English in vocabulary, tense, figures of speech, use of punctuations and structure., and roughly deals with some common strategies and techniques in title translation between Chinese and English. |
