| 摘 要： | 詹姆斯·希尔顿的作品《消失的地平线》将香格里拉这一“天堂”和“乌托邦”的代名词引进西方人的词汇和意识中，并对人们的思想和生活产生了深远的影响。文章力图通过运用后殖民理论的东方学视角，通过对小说中异域形象的建构进行解读，探究潜伏的东方主义如何作为一种意识形态和话语体现在文本中，从而揭示西方长久以来的东方主义情结。
