| 摘 要： | 《芳草天涯》是夏衍在抗战胜利前夕应“中术”演员邀请而创作的唯一一部爱情题材的话剧。该剧虽极具艺术价值，但其思想倾向却为人诟病，自发表和演出以来，集中受到三次批评：一是《新华日报》的座谈；二是乐少文的剧评；三是何其芳的责难。其中意见在文学史的书写中有固化的趋势，因此，许多研究者起而反驳，夏衍本人也有辨白。然究其原因，大致有三：一是知识分子的厌战心态与创作困境；二是夏衍独特的美学思想与延安美学的抵牾；三是胡风因素。
