摘    要:利用小波变换的多尺度特性,根据压缩比的要求,选择恰当的小波函数和分解尺度,用此来检测出图象的边缘点,对一幅图象只存贮边缘点及左右码。如果要求较高的压缩比,则进一步用直线段或园弧段进行拟合,只存贮端点等及左右码,解码特别快。

Abstract:In this paper, we presented an algorithm, which is about a geography image coderbased on wavelet transform and multiscale edge, The algorithm, according to the multiscal edgeand the compresses option, selects a better wavelet and a better scale to detect Geography Image's edge. And to a geograply image, we only save curve polygonal points and color. The proposedscheme was tested on a image. And the result is encouraging.
