| 摘 要： | 认识四、六级考试的特点及分析其在大学英语评价中的作用是当前大学英语评价改革的基础。四、六级考试作为大学英语课程的其中一种评价手段，适合于检查对课程共同目标的实现程度，为被评价提供一个外在的参考标准，但由于它无法反映个性化教学结果，教学过程描述有限，它在评价中所起的作用也是有限的。

| Abstract: | The understanding of the features of College English Test (CET) and its evaluative role are the basis of the reform of evaluation system for College English. As one of the evaluation tools of this course, CET is suitable to evaluate the common goals achieved and thus provides an exterior criterion for those who are evaluated. However, as it cannot reflect the individualized learning and teaching outcome and fails to describe the learning process, its evaluative function is confined to a limited degree. |
