论大学英语词汇教学中的人文精神教育

摘    要:词汇学习是英语学习的基本环节,是学生在英语学习中花费时间和精力最多的一环。传统英语词汇教学偏重工具性忽视人文性,使得学生把大量的时间花费在词汇的死记硬背上。大学英语是一门人文性和工具性并重的课程,在大学英语教学中,人文精神和语言教学是不可分割的。良好的人文素质和人文精神意识,是培养真正有用人才的基础。事实上,大学英语教学的每一个环节都有人文精神可供挖掘,大学英语的词汇教学也是如此。在大学英语词汇教学中渗透人文精神教育,就是要在词汇教学中提高学生的道德修养、通过词汇丰富的文化内涵来拓展学生的视野、有意识地培养学生的思维能力。

Abstract:Vocabulary learning is a basic aspect in learning English,and students in English learning take most of their time and try their best to learn vocabulary well.Traditional English vocabulary teaching focuses more on instrumentality than on humanity,which causes students spend much time memorizing the words.English is a course focused on instrumentality and humanity;in college English teaching,humanistic education and language teaching are inseparable.Good humanistic quality and humanistic consciousness can lay the foundation for intellectuals.In fact,each aspect of English teaching has humanity available for teaching and learning.The same is true of vocabulary teaching.Penetrating humanism education in vocabulary teaching can train students to improve their moral cultivation,to expand their horizons by rich cultural connotations of vocabulary,and to consciously develop their thinking ability.
