| 摘 要： | 麦金太尔认为现代西方社会道德衰退的根源在于启蒙运动以来对亚里士多德德性传统的遗弃，因此他用历史主义的研究方法，在亚里士多德德性论的基础上，引申出“实践”、“内在价值”、“整体性”、“传统”等重要概念，建立了他所期待的历史的、多层次的现代德性论。只是在资本主义社会，让德性重新占据社会生活的中心，以拯救西方社会道德危机是麦金太尔一厢情愿的努力罢了。但不能否认，其现代德性论对于我国社会主义道德建设有深刻的启示意义。
