| Abstract: | As a Viceroy of Hunan and Hubei Provinces,Chang Chi-tung had participated in guiding the foreign affairs of Hunan Province,such as religion-case negotiation,trade-openning port negotiation and Yue-Han Railway project negotiation.On the basis of the analysis of his behaviors in these affairs,this paper explores his foreign ideas and his influence upon the process of modernization of Hunan Province. |
