| Abstract: | A Dream of Red Mansions translated by Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang has long been known for its distinctive cultural value, which is closely associated with the strategy of ＂foreignization＂ adopted by its translators. Focusing on ＂foreignization＂, this paper attempts to make a discussion on the cultural significance of this translation strategy in A Dream of Red Mansions by the Yangs as well as in a broader sense. |
