| 摘 要： | 在中国，英语学习者最常犯的错误莫过于“中国式英语”。而“中国式英语”中最典型的当数滥用名词。针对Joan Pinkham所称的“名词肿胀症”，探讨了中国英语学习者滥用名词的深层原因及其改进良方。“名动转用”有助于克服这一错误，其既体现“语言经济原则”，又能提高表达效果，从而达到生动、形象、言简意赅的修辞目的。之所以如此，关键在于“名动转用”的语义增值机理。

| Abstract: | The most popular mistakes perpetrated by Chinese students of English are those of Chinglish,which sometimes is characterized by the misuse of unnecessary nouns.This paper discusses the root cause of this phenomenon from the perspective of the term "The Noun Plague" given by Joan Pinkham. The author of this paper also discovers that NounVerb Shift is helpful in overcoming"The Noun Plague"on the one hand and reflects economy of language use on itself on the other,thus helping call up a clearer and more lively picture in the reader's or listener's mind.The reason why NV Shift can produce such good rhetorical effect lies in the mechanism that enables it to gain extended meanings. |
