马丁·路德:义务教育的先驱

摘    要:马丁·路德不仅是16世纪著名的宗教改革家,也是一位伟大的教育家。他从"《圣经》权威""因信称义"以及"人人皆僧侣"三大新教教义出发,提出了普及义务教育的思想。同时,路德认为教育管理权归国家所有是实施义务教育的前提。以此为基础,他从义务教育的实践观出发,认为国家有设置、维持学校的义务;教会有协助办教育的义务;父母有送子女入学的义务。只有三方通力合作,义务教育才能顺利实行。路德教育思想中闪耀的平等和自由的光辉对欧美近代教育进程产生了广泛而深远的影响,他无愧于"世界性的伟大教育家"这一盛誉。

Abstract:Martin Luther is not only a famous religious reformer, but also a great educator. In the movement of refor- mation. Luther puts forward the idea of popularizing compulsory education based on the thought of justification by faith. In Luther's opinion, it is the government that should take over the education. Luther discusses his theory of compulsory education from the aspects of the state, churches and children's parents. The governments should establish and maintain Christian schools, and the civil authorities are under obligation to compel the people to send their children to school. The churches should aid the poor children with their own property which is donated by the rich. What's more, it is the duty of parents to send their children to school. Martin Luther's thought of the compulsory education has a profound impact on the progress of the education modemization in the Western Europe. Martin Luther deserves to enjoy the worldwide high reputation.
