理学、心学教育思想的差异及启示

摘    要:理学与心学继承了孔孟以来的教育传统,把“成圣成贤”作为教育的逻辑起点,这也是其教育的最高旨归.但由于二者“圣人观”的不同,导致二者在教育方法及情感体验上都有所不同.理学家认为,圣人是全知全能、知识与道德的完美统一,因此在教育方法上强调“循序渐进”,在情感体验上追求“克己”精神.心学家认为,只要道德完善,就具备了圣人品格,因此在教育方法上追求“立乎其大”、“易简工夫”、“致良知”,在情感体验上追求“求乐”意识.朱熹、陆九渊、王阳明三人的教育思想,集中代表了理学与心学教育思想的差异性.这种差异性对当代中国的教育理念也有很多启发.

Abstract:Inheriting the tradition of education derived from Confucius and Mencius,Both lixue and xinxue took ’being sages and the virtuous’ as their logical stating points and the ultimate goal of education.Their ideas on the method of education and experiential feelings differ,however,due to their disagreement on what constitute "sages".For the philosophers of lixue sages are omniscient and a perfect unity of knowledge and virtue.Therefore they stressed "proper sequence" and the spirit of "self-restraint".In the eyes of xinxue philosophers,one possesses the characters of sages so long as he owes perfect virtues.So they proposed,especially in terms of children’s education,"firstly grasping the most important","effortlessness and simplicity" and "good conscience" while "looking for happiness".These differences found ample illustrations in the thoughts of Zhu Xi,Lu Jiuyuan and Wang Shouren,the former representing lixue and the latter two xinxue.A comparison of their ideas sheds light on contemporary Chinese education as well.
