摘    要:随着网络技术不断发展和便携式终端的不断增加,移动节点希望在任何位置接入IP网络,并且在移动过程中能够保持与网络的透明连接。IPv6已经被广泛接受为下一代互联网的IP标准,并克服了IPv4的一些关键缺点。文章介绍了IETF移动IP工作组对IPv4的移动性支持提出的一系列补救性措施,分析了移动IPv4实用化存在的关键难题,剖析了移动IPv6的路由机制,详细讨论了IPv6支持移动性问题的新特性,最后提出移动IPv6仍需解决的主要问题。

Abstract:With the development of network technology and the increase of portable terminals, mobile nodes are expected to remain reachable with transparency while moving around on the Internet, regardless of its current point of attachment to the Internet. A set of remedy measures to support the mobility of IPv4 by IETF Mobile IP working group is put forward. The key problems involved in implementing practically Mobile IPv4 applications are analyzed. Widely accepted as the IP standard for the next generation Internet, IPv6 is improved in mobility support and has overcome the main weakness of IPv4. The routing mechanism of IPv6 is also analyzed and the new features of IPv6 to support the mobility are explored. The main problems to be solved for the actual mobile applications of IPv6 are also discussed.
