| 摘 要： | 德莱塞的《美国悲剧》引起人们对当时美国社会及其普通人生活的深刻反思,从而也激发出进行哲学思考的勇气,也体现出不同时代对优秀文学作品的不同解读是促成该作品本身保持魅力和价值长久不衰的真谛,德莱塞的《美国悲剧》以她所列举的触目惊心的案例而成为当今消费社会里人们防微杜渐时要阅读的一部反面教材。

| Abstract: | Dreiser’s An American Tragedy arouses our deep self-reflection over the time and the society where the American people used to live,thus it inspires our courage to obtain a philosophical contemplation.At the same time,while the essence of an excellent literary works as well as its ever-lasting charm lies in the possibility of giving as many different interpretations as we can to the same works in different times,An American Tragedy with its shocking examples and cases becomes the contemporary readers’good teaching material with negative examples which warns against the disadvantages of the consumption society. |
