| 摘 要： | 20世纪美国南方文学的杰出代表人物威廉·福克纳的作品中描绘了美国南方在内战后被资本主义势力击败的衰落史,以及在这种社会变革中各种人物与命运抗争,最终却无可挽回地走向衰败、堕落与死亡的悲惨结局。《献给艾米丽的玫瑰》是他著名的短篇小说之一。小说中的人物心理刻画和性格描写很好地体现了弗洛伊德的心理分析学说。笔者试图运用弗洛伊德的人格结构理论来分析小说中女主人公艾米丽的性格,进而深入阐释艾米丽的悲剧命运和小说的主题。

| Abstract: | As a prominent representative of the American Southern Literature in the 20th century, William Faulkner depicts in his works the degenerate history of the American South defeated by the Capitalism forces after the Civil War. Besides, his works describe the struggle against fate of various kinds of people, which irretrievably leads to their final miserable downfall, corruption and death. In A Rose for Emily, one of Faulkner＇s well - known short stories, the depiction of the characters＇psychology and personalities fully embodies the Freudian psychoanalyt- ic theory. Through Freudian theory of human psyche, the author of this Emily, the protagonist of the story, and further tabs into the tragic fate paper tends to analyze the characteristics of of Emily and the theme of this short story. |
