| 摘 要： | 林白水的悲剧命运显示出,在中国非宪政、非民主的时期,新闻界对“言论自由”的期待和对“无冕之王”的自许与社会现实存在极大的距离。本文的结论是,表达自由受制于社会环境,只有在法治和宪政的条件下,包括政治批评和社会批判在内的新闻权利才有可能得到保障。

| Abstract: | The idea of the Liberty of press had come into China and spread rapidly when Lin Baishui worked as a journalist,while the "king without a crown" was a shared feeling of many intellectuals in the press.According to the case of Lin Baishui,this paper believes,the journalist rights,including political and social criticism,will be safeguarded only in a constitutional society. |
