| Abstract: | This paper discusses about the connotations and development of the Chinese word He Xie,which means harmony literally.Examples from document resources show that,in Han Yu Da Ci Dian(The Great Chinese Dictionary) and Ci Yuan(The Chinese Etymology Dictionary),the books used as examples are not the earliest ones;and that the explanation of its meanings in Xian Dai Han Yu Da Ci Dian(The Modern Great Chinese Dictionary) is not indubitable. |
