| Abstract: | Literary Pragmatics applies pragmatic theories to literary criticism. This paper sets play language for instance to make literary pragmatic multi-level analysis of some dialogues excerpted from An Inspector Calls, based on relevant pragmatic theories. It elaborates the explanation about mechamism and principles of pragmatic understanding as well. It may help to make literary analysis more fully and deeply. |
