| Abstract: | According to the specialties and function of special libraries, it is necessary to develop competitive information (CI) services. This paper reviews the status quo and orientation of CI services in special libraries at home and abroad, and holds that under the digital and net-based environment, CI service is an innovation for special libraries to provide knowledge services and to improve their core competitive abilities. Some new pulses for subject information and sci-tech CI services carried out in DICCAS (i. e. Library of CAS) are particularly introduced in this paper. |
