| Abstract: | By comparing the diversity of theme and image prototypes between Chinese poetry and English poetry, this paper attempts to examine how the same subjects and images of poems are given different cultural connotations by the poets from different countries. It also gives further explanation of the relationship between national cultures and the poetic creation for the purpose of getting some idea of aesthetic temperament and interest of poetry creation from cultural perspective. |
