| 摘 要： | 范进中举喜极而疯、严监生临终竖二指、王太战胜围棋国手,是《儒林外史》中极为重要而精彩的篇章。考探其创作材料的来源,与吴敬梓屡次出游淮扬的亲身经历、观察体验和素材积累有着直接、密切的关系。作者正是在广泛采撷涉及扬州与属邑高邮等地人事素材的基础上,进行剪裁、加工和提炼,运用典型化塑造方法和手段,从而成功创作了范进、严监生、王太等异彩纷呈的人物形象和丰富的情节内容,并给我们以诸多有益的启示。
