| 摘 要： | 死刑是当今世界上最为严厉的一种刑罚．又称为极刑。随着人类文明的不断发展．死刑这种自人类野蛮时期开始的残酷刑罚方法，愈来愈受到人们的质疑．废除死刑已成为今天文明世界的共同愿望，在中国，由于其特殊国情，立即废除死刑仍是一种奢望。但是，在废除死刑已成为不可逆转的世界性潮流的今天，我国必须采取相应的应对措施使国内的死刑政策尽快并尽量与限制或废除死刑的国际趋势接轨。
