| 摘 要： | 日本四所高校的大学英语教学学分和课程设置与我国重点大学相似，分为必修课程和选修课程。其中必修课程也是7-12个学分。但是他们教学内容是学术英语和专门用途英语；教学目标是提高学生用英语进行专业学习的能力，而我国大学英语教学内容是基础英语，教学目标是培养语言综合技能。阻碍我国大学英语教学转型的因素是我国大学英语教学被看作是一门基础英语和素质教育课程。本文从国家对培养具有国际竞争力人才的战略要求出发，分析了这些因素，提出我国大学英语教学目标亟待调整的观点。

| Abstract: | There are many similarities in terms of the curriculum and credits for college English teaching(CET)between four Japanese universities and Chinese universities. The former, however, teach ESP with the purpose of serving students’ academic studies, while the latter teach GE with the objective of developing language proficiency. Two obstacles to ESP are that foundation English and liberal education are central to CET. Based on the analysis of the concepts from the perspective of the government strategic demands for the cultivation of internationally competitive students, the paper calls for the immediate modification of CET objectives. |
