| Abstract: | With the arrival of the information economy and knowledge economy profound changes have taken place in the contents,patterns and concepts of the services provided by librarians.The paper deals with the reorientation of social role and reestablishment of professional concepts of librarians in the newera.Based on the work done by author's library,some suggestions and proposals are put forward. |
