Abstract:As a textbook that has had an important influence upon teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Yuyanzierji embodies Chinese values and beliefs and allows for cultural choice and acceptance.It also reflects the intervention and influence from localized culture.When we examine this acceptance and intervention,we realize that it can act as a beacon for writing textbooks for teaching Chinese as a foreign language today.
