| Abstract: | English phrasal verbs are different from verb phrases. They can be classified into three types according to their constituents, namely, V+ adv, V+ prep and V+ adv+ prep. Functionally two types of them are recognized: intransitive phrasal verbs and transitive phrasal verbs. English phrasal verbs, especially transitive phrasal verbs have unique usage. |
