| Abstract: | Symbolic exchange theory originated from George Bataille' s concept of expending and Marcel Mauss' s gift exchange theory. Symbolic exchange is not only an exchange activity, but also a social relationship; it is a give- and - take, get- and - return relationship. It is an exchange but confrontation as well. It is a challenge to capitalism and a return to symbolic society. It is advocating exchange between human beings. |
