| Abstract: | Among the three elements of language,semantics is most closely linked with history and society.Therefore,it changes frequently.Correct understanding of semantic evaluation has great significance in the application of words.Through analyzing the meanings of some typical words in Chinese and English,this paper explores the causes of semantic evolution so as to show that semantic evolution is closely connected to history,society,economy and politics. |
