| Abstract: | Language is in a constant change with time going on.A language may evolve into several varieties.Even the same language has experienced different developmental stages.The subject which explores such language development laws is called historical linguistics.This paper focuses mainly on the origin of historical linguistics,its research method and tasks and so on. |
