| 摘 要： | 动物具有显著特征．英、汉语言中对这些特性看法总体相同，因此无论是汉语还是英语，大多数词汇含义都是相同或相近的。但是，由于不同的文化背景．对同一动物词产生不同的联想，对同一动物词赋予不同的文化内涵．通常一种动物的概念意义完全相同．而其文化内涵却有明显差异、相互矛盾甚至意义相反。动物词汇常带有鲜明的民族文化特征．部分动物词具有不同的褒贬含义．因此．英、汉两种语言使用和翻译中，应谊注意到谊词的文化内涵，避免出现歧义。

| Abstract: | The first discussion is made on the sameness of and similarity between Chinese and English animal words. And this paper goes on the discussion on the differences because of the different cultural background so that the ambiguity can be avoided in the use of such words and translation from one to the other. |
