| 摘 要： | 劳伦斯在其文学作品中大量使用象征有其特有的目的和意义。对大自然的描写不是为了浪漫;对人性的描写不是对世人的责难,也不是单纯的同情;对“性爱”的描写不是要教人好色,更不是劳伦斯本人好色。其目的和意义是要揭示现代工业文明毁坏了美丽的大自然,吞噬了完美的人性,扭曲了和谐的性爱关系这一社会问题;是向往绿色环保的大自然,呼唤自然完美的人性,渴望和谐美满的家庭婚姻生活。

| Abstract: | Lawrence, as a great master, uses plenty os symbolism in his master pieces. His symbolism of nature doesn＇t his uomantecism; His symbolism of human nature doesn＇ t mean his lame or sympathy to human beings ; His symbolism of sex doesn＇ t or his own sexual desires. What he wanted to mean is to reveal the industrialization＇ s destroying of nature, the ruining of human nature and harmonious sexual relationship ; to express his desitre for an unpolluted nature, perfect human nature and harmonious sexual relationship. |
