| 摘 要： | 以影片《阿甘正传》(Forrest Gump)与《阿拉丁》(Alladin)的中英文字幕为例,考察电影字幕翻译的删减现象,分析影响字幕翻译的文本内与文本外因素。文本内因素即字幕翻译的特点,视听文本转换成书面语时,符号间的重复与符号内部的信息冗余;文本外因素则主要考察意识形态的影响。通过考察影片的字幕翻译得出结论:部分删减现象能更好地体现人物的语言风格和特征,但某些删减现象则在一定程度上使原文信息缺失。

| Abstract: | This study attempts to investigate the reductions at which such distortion and manipulation of language and culture occur,using authentic examples from the subtitles of films-Forrest Gump and Aladdin.When converting the spoken to written word,the volume is generally reduced to some extend.There are two factors: intersemiotic redundancy,intrasemiotic redundancy.The study also explores how the extra-textual factors influence the translation strategies in English-Chinese subtitling in China.Specifically speaking,it is to explore how ideology influences the translating process of English-Chinese film subtitling through careful analysis of the subtitles of the films.Some reductions(both omissions and condensations) make a text shorter,but more informative.Sometimes the reduction will inevitably lead to the loss of the original message and flavor to some extend. |
