| 摘 要： | 文章介绍了新中国第一任体委主任贺龙,与体育的渊源和开创新中国体育事业做出的重大贡献。贺龙同志为新中国体育事业招募和培养了大批人才,同时大量修建体育场所还成立了多所体育学院为中国的体育事业奠定物质基础和储备体育人才,并且创刊《体育报》宣传新中国体育事迹,加强体育学术交流。通过＂劳卫制＂提高全民素质;加强新中国竞技人才的培养和队伍建设;不畏艰难,坚持支持登山运动。在短短的14年时间里,奠定了中国体育事业的基础。
