| 摘 要： | 从词典学本身理论出发评论词典的文章很多,真正从词典使用者的地位考虑问题的相对较少。本文主要是从词典使用者的角度入手,从词典检索的便捷性切入,通过对常用的五部英语词典的对比,找出词典在检索方面存在的四个不足:页面过窄,词目混列,义项颠倒和色彩单一,并针对这些不足给出了几点可供今后词典编纂参考的可行性尝试。

| Abstract: | While the importance of the English dictionary has never been in doubt,the image of dictionary has been changing towards the user's perspective.This study investigated five English dictionaries on searching function,the result is that the dictionary,as this paper shows,should take some measures to better help users. |
