| 摘 要： | 美国迪士尼电影公司将中国古代乐府诗《木兰辞》改编制作成动画电影《木兰》（Mulan）.该片一上映,同时受到国内外影迷的热烈追捧,取得良好的票房成绩.这部动画电影具有重要的跨文化意义,表面上属于中国文化元素的符号在该影片中被电影制作者赋予了新的含义,它们象征着美国的文化精神和价值取向.将电影中出现的女主人公花木兰、男子形象以及木须小龙这三个重要符号置于中美两种不同的文化语境中进行对比分析研究,借用象征符号学理论相关知识,结合中美两国不同的文化精神、文化价值取向对上述符号进行解读,分析同一符号在不同文化语境中的不同象征意义,并剖析这种结果背后潜藏的文化因素.

| Abstract: | Mulan, an animation film of the Walt Disney Co. （ DIS）, adapted from the Mulan Ballad, one of the Yuefu Poems （folk - song - styled verse） in ancient China. The film was admired by both foreign and domestic fans once it was on show, therefore it achieved good results in box office. This animation is of cross -cultural significance, the Chinese symbols were endowed with new implication by the producers. They symbolize the American spirits and values. The images of Mulan, the heroine, Mushu, a little dragon and other males are embodied in both American and Chinese cultural contexts for a comparative study. In the light of the symbolic semiology, and based on the cultural differences of America and China, this paper interprets different symbolic meanings of each cultural symbol in differ- ent cultural values, and dissects the hidden cultural factors resulting in these differences. |
