| 摘 要： | 在学生的情感因素中，学习动机是决定英语学习成败的关键。了解和激发英语学习动机对英语学习具有十分重要的作用。因此，教师应该有计划，有目的地培养学生形成正确的学习动机和浓厚强烈的学习兴趣。本文通过对教育理论的学习和实践，对动机在英语学习中的作用反如何激发学生的动机作了简要论述。
