| Abstract: | The new curriculum standards have given prominence to such three-dimensional goals as “knowledge and competence”, “process and strategy”, as well as “affective attitude and values”. Under the circumstances of the new curriculum reform, Chinese teaching in middle schools must be one that aims at achieving such three-dimen- sional goals, and similarly, these three-dimensional goals should serve as both the “starting point”and “ end point” in carrying out classroom lead-in activities in Chinese instruction. |
