| 摘 要： | 民国初年,周瘦鹃以＂哀情小说＂蜚声文坛,此后二十年间创作了数百篇小说,从男女之情到家庭与社会百态,对于都市现代性不无悲天悯人的情怀。与他大力从事翻译相平行,思想与形式方面多方包容吸收,融会了欧美浪漫主义、维多利亚宗教意识及好莱坞＂情节剧＂的艺术表现,万花筒般体现了上海＂五方杂处＂的镜像舞台,创造了作者特有的通俗风格。在语言方面,文言与白话并重,承传了中国抒情传统。文章以1920年代后期周氏在《紫罗兰》杂志上发表的言情小说为中心,系统梳理了其抒情语言在现代境遇中经历的历史变迁。
