Abstract:This paper focuses on cross cultural pragmatic failure with the help of Thomas's distinction between pragmalinguistic failure and sociopragmatic failure. Far from a detailed study of the culture to the target language and some principles in language as it is ,the sources of failure tell us that we should pay attention to the culture leading in in our language teaching since the culture is part of the language.
