| 摘 要： | 为应对风起云涌的中国民族主义运动的强劲挑战,1920年代后,在“巴敦调查团”“更加中国化”方针的指导下,教会大学进行了一系列的中国化改革。通过提升华人教职员的比例和地位,发展职业教育,重视国文教学和国学研究等具体措施,逐渐改变了前期“过于洋化”的形象,开始融入到中国社会生活的各个方面,成为中国近代高等教育的重要组成部分。

| Abstract: | At the beginning of the 1920's,to challenge the burgeoning Chinese nationalist movement,Christian universities conducted a series of corresponding reforms in compliance with the policy of "More Chinese-like" proposed by Burton Commission.In so doing,these Christian universities changed their traditional images of being "over-foreignized" and tackled the survival crisis effectively.Furthermore,they began to be involved in various aspects of the Chinese people's life,thus becoming a vital part of China's higher education. |
