Abstract: | Drawing an analogy to one of California's great historic booms, this article begins with the question, “What is happening in California's young adult (YA) library services?” The answer is a plethora of exciting new teen resource enhancements, including new dedicated YA specialist positions, space design innovations, enhanced in‐service training capacity, increased national leadership, supportive administrations, and a dramatic increase in YA instructional offerings in library school programs.
