论大学英语中的词汇教学

摘    要:词汇是影响英语水平提高的一个重要因素,不具备一定的词汇量,听说读写译各项技能都无法发展。词汇教学一直是大学英语教学中的重点和难点,为找到最佳的词汇讲授方式,老师们已进行了大量的探讨。本文是在《新编大学英语》教程对词汇处理方式的启发下,结合Stahl & Fairbanks两位语言学家的词汇教学理论,分析了词汇教学的制约因素和它们在实际教学中的可行性,提出了五种词汇教学方式。

Abstract:Vocabulary is a very important aspect in English studying.Failing to master a certain amount of vocabulary, you can't develop further your abilities on listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating.How to teach vocabulary effec- tively is what teachers have been studying hard.Stimulated by the method of vocabulary teaching method in“New College English”,and directed under the vocabulary theories of two linguists Stahl and Fairbanks,the paper deals with the factors in vocabulary teaching and their fcasibilities in Chinese classroom,and puts forward five vocabulary teaching and learning meth- ods.
