聚合关系对英语词汇教学的启示

摘    要:在一种语言系统中,词汇之间的关系是非常重要的,它可以帮助加深学习者对目标词汇的感知印象,使之尽快地进入长时记忆,并灵活运用。在大学英语词汇教学中,应该鼓励学生去分析、研究词汇之间的关系,聚合关系理论为我们的英语词汇教学提供了一个理论框架,能帮助我们更好地发现英语词汇的特点,同时也能够为英语词汇教学提供很多有益的启示。论文从词汇的聚合关系出发,通过讨论上下义关系、整体与部分关系、同义关系和反义关系对英语词汇习得的影响,提出我们在大学英语的词汇教学中,应该充分重视词汇的纵聚合关系,从而增强学生对词的涵义和选择的敏感性,提高学生的词汇习得能力。

Abstract:Words'relations are very important in a language system,because it can help us strengthen the sense impression to the target words,make them into long time memory and be used flexibly.Students should be encouraged to analyze and study the words'relations in the vocabulary teaching in college English.Paradigmatic relation provides a theoretical frame for our teaching of English vocabulary.It can help us find the characters of English vocabulary more effectively,and offer us lots of useful implications.From the point of words paradigmatic relation,this paper discusses the effects of hyponymy,meronymy, meronymy and antonymy on the learning of English vocabulary,suggests that we should attach great importance to the longitudinal paradigmatic relation,and reinforce students the sensibility to word's meaning and selection so as to improve their skills in the learning of English vocabulary.
