| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the significance of developing characteristic collection resources in college libraries and proposes 4 orientations for the developmental exploration： discipline-based, individual institution- based, locality-based and databank construction. It is contended that the stable development in this respect can be achieved if the libraries keep to their core functions of serving teachers and students through formulating effective safeguard mechanisms for collecting resources and improving the professional attainments. |
