| 摘 要： | 鸦片战争后,随着上海租界社会的形成,西方侨民的体育活动在租界地区不断开展起来,到晚清时期,欧美社会流行的大多数体育活动都已在上海西侨社会中出现。带有殖民色彩的西方体育也随之逐渐融进了上海市民的生活,西方侨民体育开辟了近代上海体育的先河。创办于晚清的《点石斋画报》对当时西方侨民盛行体育活动进行了报道。通过《点石斋画报》的记载来介绍当时西方侨民中盛行的赛马、赛船、赛脚踏车和田径运动的发展状况,以助于我们了解上海西方侨民体育在上海开展的情况。
