| 摘 要： | 一个地方的命名总是有理据的，要么反映了该地的自然地貌特征，要么反映了该地的人文历史文化。山水园林构成了重庆独特的自然风貌；而重庆悠久的历史积淀，又赋予了重庆深厚的文化内涵；特殊的人文和自然环境，形成了重庆具有鲜明个性的地域文化。这些特点在重庆城市的命名中都得到了充分的反映。

| Abstract: | The name of a place always has its justification, presenting either the natural feature or its humanities, history and culture. The papers analyzed the geographically morphological characteristics of the place names of Chongqing city land the cultural meanings of the place names, concerning with artificial construction, plants and animals, people ＇ s name, production activities, feudal officials and administration, historical stories, characters, religious activities, urban settlement, location and numbers. |
