| 摘 要： | <米德尔马契>和<贵妇画像>这两部世界名著都是以女主人公的婚姻悲剧为主线,揭示了十九世纪西方社会的女性所面临的爱情、婚姻乃至人生困境.两位女主人公多萝西娅和伊莎贝尔都是理想主义的少女,独特的个性以及对现实认识的严重不足使她们做出了错误的婚姻选择.在婚姻悲剧中,她们都遭遇了理想的幻灭.现实的重重束缚又使她们最终的人生命运归于平庸.
