| Abstract: | The translation and comment on Shakespeare and his dramas made by the famous interpreters Yan Fu, Lin Shu and Gu Hong-ming in modern times, and Lin Ze-xu, the first one who introduced Shakespeare to China, not only present a splendid sight of dramatic culture concerning the relation between the scholars and Shakespeare in modern times, but also witness the remarkable historical contribution made by the thinkers and scholars from Fujian in the initial stage of Chinese Shakespeare Studies. |
