| 摘 要： | 实施“211工程”，是中国政府面向21世纪推进高等教育发展，促进高等教育与经济社会发展相适应的一项重要措施。本以作为“211工程高校”教育重要组成部分的体育教育应如何回应为切入点，从其直面严峻挑战的背景分析入手，重点阐述了新世纪“211工程高校”体育教育改革应关注的八个问题，最后以结束语的形式表明了对研究主题的基本看法。
